Amber Orange-Tea Punch

    Ingredients

    2 cups water
    4 tea bags
    2 cups orange juice
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 cinnamon sticks, cracked
    12 whole cloves
    2 bottles - 10 oz. each - ginger ale, chilled

    Directions

    Boil water and pour into a heatproof pitcher, add
    the tea bags and steep for 8 minutes.  Remove
    the tea bags. Pour 1 cup of the orange juice into
    the saucepan and add the sugar, cinnamon sticks,
    and cloves.  Bring to a boil, lower the heat, cover
    and simmer for 5 minutes.  
    Remove the orange juice mixture from the heat
    and pour it into a 2-quart heatproof bowl or
    pitcher.  Stir in the remaining orange juice and the
    tea, cover and refrigerate overnight.
    Just before serving, stir in the ginger ale.
    Serves 12.
