Gumdrop Cake
1/2 cup butter 1 cup sugar 2 eggs, beaten 2 1/4 cups sifted flour 1/4 tsp. salt 2 tsp. baking powder 1 lb. gumdrops chopped, black ones removed 3/4 cup raisins 1 tsp. vanilla 1/4 cup milk Directions Cream butter. Add sugar and eggs. Sift flour, salt and baking powder together. Sift over gumdrops and raisins; dredge well. Add vanilla to milk. Add flour mixture and milk alternately to first mixture. Bake at 275 for 1 hour and 30 minutes. |
