Black Midnight Cake
2 1/4 cup flour 1 2/3 cup sugar 2/3 cup cocoa 1 1/4 tsp. soda 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. baking powder 1 1/4 cup water 3/4 cup shortening 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla Directions Mix all together in large bowl. Blend 1/2 minute at low speed, scraping constanty. Beat 3 minutes on high speed. Grease and flour pans. Bake at 350. One 9 x 13 inch, 40-45 minutes. Two 9 inch or three 8 inch, 30-35 minutes. |
